First visit to California as head of Agency

(SAN FRANCISCO) -- This week, President Obama’s Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Lisa P. Jackson will visit California for the first time as head of the Agency. On Tuesday, September 29, Administrator Jackson will headline this year’s State of the San Francisco Estuary conference, sharing the Obama Administration’s plans for improving the nation’s water quality, creating green jobs, tackling climate change, and restoring sound science to environmental policy.

Later that evening, Administrator Jackson will give the keynote address at a Commonwealth Club of California. She will lay out her vision for cleaning up America's air, water and land.
