On Thursday, Apr. 11 at 12 noon, EPA Administrator Christie Whitman along with Anthony F. Rock, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, will hold a press conference regarding the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). The Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants was endorsed by President Bush in a Rose Garden Ceremony on April 19, 2001, and signed by Administrator Whitman on behalf of the United States on May 23, 2001.

WHERE: Senate Swamp, located outside of U.S. Capitol Building on east side (across from steps to U.S. Senate).
DIRECTIONS: Please note that this site does not have parking available – Limited off street parking only.
