EPA awards $110,000 to the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council, Inc. to manage environmental programs

(Dallas, Texas – May 30, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently awarded $110,000 to the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council, Inc. The Council will use the funds to assist member pueblos and tribes in developing the capability to manage specific environmental programs and establishing a core program for environmental protection. Other activities supported by this grant include strategic planning meetings with consortia members, grant writing workshops, disseminating educational information to tribal communities, updating Web sites, creating newsletters and attending national meetings.
