EPA'S PESTICIDE PROGRAM RECEIVES "HAMMER" AWARD
EPA's Pesticide Program will receive a National Performance Review "Hammer" Award from Vice President Al Gore's office on Friday, Nov. 8 at an 10:30 a.m. ceremony at NYCO Products Inc., 3021 West 36th St. Chicago, Ill. The National Performance Review principles include: putting customers first, cutting red tape and empowering employees. The pesticide program is being recognized for its success in simplifying the process of registering pesticide products. The new approach significantly reduces review time for many types of products, saving time and resources for the government as well as companies seeking to get their products to market.
