SUNDAY: EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson, Congressional Black Caucus, to Stop in Columbia on Environmental Justice Tour

(ATLANTA – April 16, 2010) On Sunday, President Obama’s pick to lead the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Administrator Lisa P. Jackson, along with members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), will stop in Columbia, S.C. for a public town hall meeting on their Environmental Justice Tour.

The joint EPA-CBC tour is meant to highlight the impact of environmental issues on underserved communities throughout the country. The tour was kicked off in Mississippi with visit to Greenville and Jackson in January, hosted by Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (D-Miss.). Stops in South Carolina mark the second leg of the tour, and will include meetings and public events in Spartanburg, Columbia, Aiken and North Charleston.
