CHICAGO (June 13, 2006) — U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 has reached an agreement with Precision Metalsmiths Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, to settle alleged hazardous waste violations. A penalty of $59,500 will be paid.
Precision Metalsmiths, located at 1081 E. 200th St., was cited for violating Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) requirements for managing hazardous waste, including storing without a permit, and for failing to provide adequate training, maintain training and job description records and a complete list of emergency equipment in its contingency plan.
