Rock Hill Community Organization To Receive EPA Environmental Justice Grant

(ATLANTA – APRIL 1, 2009) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will award an Environmental Justice Small Grant to A Place for Hope, Inc., in Rock Hill, S.C., to address environmental justice challenges. The award is one of forty grants, up to $20,000 each, being given to community-based organizations and local and tribal governments in 28 states for community projects aimed at addressing environmental and public health issues.

      Dr. Jennifer Leigh Disney, President of A Place for Hope, Inc.’s, Board of Directors; and
          Karen McKernan, Executive Director of A Place for Hope, Inc.
