Chemical and Products Database (CPDat)
What is CPDat?
CPDat (Chemical and Products Database) is a collection of information about how thousands of chemicals are used in commerce sourced from publicly available documents. CPDat contains information on: the chemical ingredients of thousands of consumer products (harmonized to standard product categories), the functional use of chemicals (harmonized to function categories defined by the intergovernmental Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) and the general use of thousands of chemicals. CPDat can be explored via the Chemical Exposure Knowledgebase (ChemExpo) or downloaded in bulk. Some summary data are available in the CompTox Chemicals Dashboard.
For chemicals without a weight fraction in a given product, EPA scientists developed a model that generates a predicted weight based on its placement in the ingredients list.
Users can search the CompTox Dashboard for chemicals by chemical name, Chemical Abstracts Registry Number (CASRN), or by a product type (e.g. "shampoo").
