1. Flammability: Non-flammable (DOT: Non-Hazardous). 2. Ventilation: No special requirements. 3. Skin and eye contact; protective clothing; treatment in case of contact: No special equipment or clothing required; however, goggles are recommended. If eye or skin irritation occurs flush with plenty of water. 4.a. Maximum storage temperature: 120ºF continuous, 140°F up to 5 days 4.b. Minimum storage temperature: 35ºF 4.c. VI. RECOMMENDED APPLICATION PROCEDURE |
---|
1. Application Method: ZI-400 may be applied by the usual method of aerial or boat spraying. For smaller spills a drum pump with sprayer may be used, mixing with water as required depending on the type and viscosity of oil being treated. 2. Concentration/Application Rate: On heavy oils use ZI-400 directly on the spill, or up to approximately a 1:10 dilution ratio (product:water). Lighter oils will require a 1:10 to 1:30 product to water dilution ratio. Warmer waters (greater than 78°F) and/or good agitation during application will require less product. 3. Conditions for Use: No limitations as to usage within in optimum temperature parameters (application may be made at or above 35°F, with optimum above 48°F). |
