Abstract:
The survey is the first attempt to measure the extent of commercial environmental activity using a comprehensive list of products and services. For the purpose of this survey, the environmental industry was defined as the manufacture of products, performance of services, and the construction of projects used, or that potentially could be used for measuring, preventing, limiting, or correcting environmental damage to air, water, and soil. The industry also includes services related to the removal, transportation, storage, or abatement of waste, noise, and other contaminants. The survey is based on a sample of private businesses involved in the commercial activities of the environmental industry.
