Public Notice: Proposed Settlement with Endomines Idaho LLC for Clean Water Act Violations in Idaho

EPA is providing notice of a proposed administrative penalty settlement with Endomines Idaho, LLC (respondent) for violations of the Clean Water Act at its facility located in Orogrande, Idaho.
EPA alleges that the respondent failed to comply with its Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Multi-Sector General Permit (#IDR050265) at Friday Exploration Project. The permit covers discharges of pollutants into the Crooked River and Quartz Creek.
Alleged violations include failure to monitor and report stormwater discharges; failure to update the site’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan; failure to maintain stormwater control measures; and failure to conduct routine facility inspections at the site.
This action is being simultaneously commenced and concluded in a legal document called an Expedited Settlement Agreement. Under the proposed agreement (see "Related Documents"), the Endomines Idaho, LLC, will pay a civil penalty of $15,293.
