Considerations in Deciding to Treat Contaminated Unsaturated Soils In Situ
The purpose of this Issue Paper is to assist the user in deciding if in situ treatment of contaminated soil is a potentially feasible remedial alternative and to assist in the process of reviewing and screening in situ technologies. The definition of an in situ technology is a technology applied to treat the hazardous constituents of a waste or contaminated environmental medium where they are located.
