Public Forum Addressing GHG Emissions from Existing Natural Gas-Fired Power Plants
EPA opened a non-regulatory docket and issued framing questions to gather input about ways the Agency can design a broad and environmentally protective approach to greenhouse gas regulation of the entire fleet of existing gas combustion turbines in the power sector under Clean Air Act Section 111(d).
As part of a robust stakeholder engagement process, EPA held a public policy forum on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Eastern Time. The forum included a series of panels and interactive facilitated discussion sessions, providing an opportunity for EPA and participants to hear a broad range of views on the framing questions and to exchange ideas about regulating greenhouse gases from combustion turbines at power plants.
