Background

The 43-acre Sherwood Medical Industries Superfund Site is located approximately three miles northeast of downtown Deland in Volusia County, Florida, about 50 miles north of Orlando. Site features include a manufacturing facility, warehouse, laboratory, wastewater treatment facility and paved parking areas. Land uses in the area are mostly residential and commercial. A portion of Lake Miller, a 12-acre lake, is also located on Site.
