Purpose |
These grant programs provide funding for the cost of cleanup, abatement, or other remedial actions related to the disposal of waste tires collected at cleanup projects and amnesty events. Previously offered together as one grant program, the Waste Tire Cleanup Grant and the Waste Tire Amnesty Grants have been separated. The Waste Tire Cleanup Grant Program will be offered every two years in even years and the Waste Tire Amnesty Grant will be offered every two years in odd years. In fiscal year 2020-21, $1,250,000 was available for the Local Government Waste Tire Cleanup Grant Program. The maximum grant award is $100,000 for single jurisdiction applicants and $250,000 for regional applicants. In FY 2022-23, $1,250,000 was available for the Local Government Waste Tire Amnesty Grant Program. The maximum grant award was $100,000 for individual applications and $250,000 for regional applicants. |
