Contaminant Candidate List 1 - CCL 1
On March 2, 1998, EPA announced the First Contaminant Candidate List (CCL 1). On July 18, 2003, the agency announced its formal decision on whether to develop regulations for contaminants on the CCL 1.
Microbial Contaminant Candidates
- Acanthamoeba
- Adenoviruses
- Aeromonas hydrophila
- Caliciviruses
- Coxsackieviruses
- Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae), other freshwater algae, and their toxins
- Echoviruses
- Helicobacter pylori
- Microsporidia (Enterocytozoon & Septata)
- Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC)
