Compliance and Conformance Audits of the Region 7 EMS
An organization must periodically evaluate its compliance obligations (or legal and other requirements) which are applicable to its environmental aspects to ensure the commitment to compliance articulated in its environmental policy statement. It must also conduct periodic conformance audits of its EMS to ensure that the system is structured and functioning in accordance with the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
Region 7 is fully committed to complying with our compliance obligations at all times, and has developed a procedure for conducting periodic audits of our activities to ensure our continuous compliance status. The Regional office also conducts EMS conformance audits on a periodic basis, based on an operating procedure, to ensure that the system remains aligned in its structure and function to the ISO 14001 standard, as well as to standards established by EPA and the Region 7 office.
