Environmental Policies
The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides a regular progress update and written commitment to maintaining environmental management systems within the EPA and all of its facilities. Additionally, each EPA facility has developed individual environmental policies which can be found on each of their respective EMS pages beginning with Headquarters and Special Program Laboratories.

Greening EPA - The EPA implements a range of strategies to reduce the environmental impact of our facilities and operations, from building new, high-performance structures to improving energy and water conservation of existing buildings and new leased spaces.
The Council on Environmental Quality coordinates federal environmental efforts and works closely with agencies and other White House offices in the development of environmental policies and initiatives.
FedCenter is a joint initiative of EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), the Army Corps of Engineers' Construction Engineering Research Laboratory, and the Office of Federal Sustainability (formerly the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive) to create an all-services technical and compliance assistance center to help federal environmental officials, especially those in the civilian sector, better address their environmental needs.
Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and the Pollution Prevention Act, EPA evaluates potential risks from new and existing chemicals and finds ways to prevent or reduce pollution before it gets into the environment.
