Growing a Green Infrastructure Workforce
All stormwater infrastructure projects, including green infrastructure, must be maintained over time to ensure proper performance. The ongoing maintenance of green infrastructure is an opportunity to create entry-level jobs in the water sector, particularly in under resourced communities. Join EPA's Green Infrastructure Webcast Series to discuss planning considerations and practices for developing and implementing green workforce development programs. Daniel Apt from the National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGCIP) will speak about the benefits of being a certified professional; Emily Burton, Operation Stream Shield, will present on unique partnership opportunities to train and build a local workforce; and, Gabe Catenacci, Groundwork Denver's GRIT Program, will highlight maintenance training and green workforce development programs across the country.
