Red Hill Community Representation Initiative
About
EPA, in collaboration with the Navy, Defense Logistics Agency, and members of the public, held a scoping meeting to discuss the formation of a Community Representation Initiative (CRI) on July 27, 2023. EPA and Navy hosted a CRI Selection Meeting on September 16, 2023.
The CRI was added to the 2023 Red Hill Administrative Consent Order in response to public comments received, and gives ten members of the Hawaiian community an opportunity to work directly with Navy, DLA, and EPA on matters related to defueling, closure, and drinking water safety at the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility.
