June 2024: Drinking Water Monitoring Update for Red Hill
Navy Closure Task Force-Red Hill present findings from their two-year Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) program for the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam water system and provided an overview of the new Extended Drinking Water Monitoring (EDWM) program. EPA provided updates on their oversight and independent evaluations of the Navy’s drinking water system. The Navy and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) also provided updates on Red Hill public health activities. Drinking water monitoring activities are intended to continuously ensure the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam water system meets all State and Federal drinking water standards and is free of JP-5.
June 2023: Administrative Consent Order
This webinar featured an overview of the requirements included in the 2023 Consent Order and what revisions were made in response to public input. The webinar included a Q&A session to allow the public to gain additional information about the Consent Order and how it will impact defueling and closure of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage facility in Oahu, Hawaii.
April 2023: Drinking Water Monitoring Update for Red Hill
This webinar featured the EPA, the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH), and the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC). Presenters discussed activities related to ensuring drinking water meets all federal and state standards and provided information about the 2-year Long-Term Monitoring program at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam Water System.

January 2023: Public Health Activities Related to Red Hill
EPA and the Hawai’i Department of Health hosted this Red Hill in Focus Webinar Series event to present information to the public on what agencies are doing to address impacts to human health and the environment from Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility releases. This webinar features the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) / Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) and presents ATSDR’s findings and recommendations from two health surveys conducted in 2022. In this webinar, ATSDR also introduced upcoming public health assessment activities to evaluate data and information on chemical releases from Red Hill since 2005.
